Manufacturing since 1833
In 1833, in the heart of a remote valley, a brilliant inventor named Antoine LeCoultre created a small workshop where extraordinary timepieces were handcrafted in a fierce spirit of innovation. The workshop would go on to become Jaeger-LeCoultre.

A true Manufacture from the ground up
From the outset, movement precision and technique have been at the heart of the Grande Maison’s goal, which is located in the quiet and peaceful enclave of the Vallée de Joux, also known as the “valley of watchmaking complications”.
To this day, Jaeger-LeCoultre remains a pioneer in the watchmaking industry and one of the few authentic manufactures that produces all of its watches in their entirety, from idea to realization, with more than 180 trades brought together under one roof.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Story
Jaeger-LeCoultre, which is located in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, is one of the only manufactures that creates, develops, decorates and produces all of its watches by hand in its own workshops. From its beginnings and to create each watch in its entirety, the Manufacture embraces all the diversity of crafts, techniques and technologies under one roof to give rise to the most exquisite watchmaking creations.

Since its foundation, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture has been located in the quiet and peaceful enclave of the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, exactly where Antoine LeCoultre established his first workshop.
